Weather

Fih has been known for its lovely, sanitary & healthy weather. Too many people from the hot & polluted cities used to spend the summer, to breath Fih's healthy air and recover from asthma.
Being on a the top of a hill the North wind makes Fih the coolest village in its surroundings. Snow covers its lovely hills & streets on the average of once a year.

Talking about the strategic altitude of FIH is of big importance, & everybody is trying to get benefit from this fact: In FIH, there is a great water tank that irrigates some villages in the surroundings; moreover, some TV, Wireless Cable TV & Radio stations have built some relays that can cover the whole surroundings.
Soil & Nature
The soil in FIH is either white (from the West), red (from the North) or brown (in other  places).

Birds

The late Lebanese ex-president Kamil Shamoun used to come to FIH's valley where he enjoyed hunting  because of the variety of its birds, & especially because it is one of the few places in Lebanon where partridges, quail are still found...

Trees
FIH, like all "Green Koura's" villages, is well-known for its olive trees, but also: almond, apple, apricot, fig, grape, oak, peach, pear, quince, sumac...
